Its quite unfair when an Oscar winner like Halle Berry is nominated as the Worst Actress for the Razzie Awards. Halle was listed as a potential nominee on the 2004 Razzie Award nominating ballot. She was suggested in the Worst Actress category for her performance in the film Gothika. She failed to receive a nomination however. The very next year though (2004), she got a nomination for Worst Actress in the film Catwoman.

Pity… I dont think she was that bad as Catwoman… was she?

Halle Berry is set to shave her head bald. According to the sex icon, just like Britney Spears, she wants to shave off all her hair for a new film role; a romantic comedy entitled “Nappily Ever After”.

“I’m going to shave my head bald. I can’t believe it,” Berry enthused.

Berry will play a lady who decides to shave her hair off after it starts falling out. Her character must then learn to cope with people’s perceptions of her and the way in which her hair shaped who she was.

However, fans will have to wait for more than a year to see the bald beauty as the new draft for the film has just been completed.

Speaking of the role, Berry said: “I still struggle with this hair issue. I’m going to get the lesson on film, and hopefully other women will get it, too.”

Halle Berry who was voted the most fabulous 40 something celeb by a poll in the In Touch magazine seems to have won the title for the confidence she oozes.

Editors selected the actress because she has “evolved into this woman that feels very confident in who she is.”

That is surely true of Halle Berry.

Halle Berry has been voted as the world’s most fabulous 40-something celebrity in a poll conducted by an American magazine.

Berry, 40, defeated model/designer Daisy Fuentes and Salma Hayek among others to top the Fabulous At 40 list, contactmusic.com website reported.

The Gothica star was chosen by the editors of the In Touch Weekly magazine because they thought she has “evolved into this woman who feels very confident in who she is”.

Taking another peek back into history, I will tell you one of the most important events of Halle Berry’s life.

In February 2000, Berry was involved in a car accident in which she struck a vehicle after running a red light, and left the scene before the police arrived. Berry, who had sustained a head injury, stated she had no recollection of the accident and pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge. She paid a fine, made restitution to the other driver, performed community service, and was placed on three years’ supervised probation by the Los Angeles County Adult Probation Office.

Halle says; it’s a blank. Though she has tried repeatedly to recall what happened, she says she has “not a clue how I got from driving from my friend’s house to being a bloody mess with a crashed car.” Though Halle has accepted the judgment of doctors that, because of the head injury she suffered in the accident–a bond-deep gash to her forehead that required 20 stitches to close–she may never remember, she acknowledges that she did leave the crash site before authorities arrived. Which is why, she says, she agreed to plead no contest to a misdemeanor charge of leaving the scene of a traffic accident.

“It was important for me as the woman I say that I am to take some responsibility,” says Halle of the accident in which the driver of the other vehicle broke her wrist. “I think that was the right thing for me to do.”

Since nothing is quite happening in Halle Berry’s life… her career is going steady… her personal life is smooth… no controversies no drama.. so I thought,… why not I take you folks down the memory lane in Halle’s life.

Halle has been married twice. Her first marriage in 1992 to pro baseball player David Justice ended in divorce in 1996.Berry has stated publicly that she was so despondent after her breakup with Justice that she considered taking her own life.

Her second marriage in 2001 to musician Eric Benét resulted in a 2004 separation and 2005 divorce. In 2004, after the separation, Berry stated

“I want love, and I will find it, hopefully”

Then in 2005, she met French Canadian supermodel Gabriel Aubry, who is nine years her junior. The couple met at a Versace photoshoot. After six months with Aubry, she stated in an interview

“I’m really happy in my personal life, which is a novelty to me. You know I’m not the girl that has the best relationships”.

On being asked if she is considering to marry Aubry, she said,

“I never want to be married again. I guess you could say I have bad taste in men. But I no longer feel the need to be someone’s wife. I don’t feel like I need to be validated by being in a marriage”

Looks like twice bitten she is forever shy

Monster Ball is regarded to be Halle Berry’s best performances ever and that fetched her an Oscar in 2002.

The role was difficult to essay but there was one scene which was harder than any scene she enacted. The one in which she had to beat up young actor Dante Beze.

She says,

“That was harder than any scene…harder than the scene where I’m butt naked. He’s a real child and he has real issues with obesity and all the emotional baggage that goes along with that. I was worried that making this movie could really damage him - perhaps for the rest of his life.”

To prevent that

“Before (and after) every scene I’d hug him and kiss him. And what I’ve done since filming is stay in his life. I really want to be involved and keep in touch with him. He told me a lot of things about who he is and about the pain he keeps inside.”

She truly deserves another Oscar for that movie. What say folks?

She completed her ensemble with platinum and diamond stilettos worth $1.9 million and was escorted by 3 body guards on her red carpet entrance to the award ceremony.

The 77 carat Archduke Joseph Diamond, designed by Alfredo Molina, dwarfed the simple diamond pendants worn by other actresses. She was also wearing 64 carats on her feet and 166 carats on her neck.

The dress was awesome… and it had looked much better on her if she had longer hair to give out a more feminine look.

You have seen her in Monster Ball, Gothika etc playing tortured characters. Not surprisingly Halle Berry loves essaying the roles of these tortured characters…and she is really good at it.

Talking about her ‘tortured’ character in Monster she says,

“it’s very cathartic. At the end of the movie I felt so fresh and clean - like I got to release some of the demons inside of me. A lot of things get held inside and through art I’m able to purge myself of all of that. I actually got to work out some issues for myself and that’s why I love to do it.”

With the powerful actress that she is, she can get away with an oscar for almost every good role that she essays.

Halle Berry, although has admitted that her super-popular character of Storm in the X-Men series is a cartoon-type role, yet she said that by the end of filming the movie, she had actually begun to envy her characters’ magical powers.

She said, “I’d like to be able to use Storm’s powers for good, like have it rain more in Southern California. We could do with it,” she says.

Wish we could have Sexy Super-heroines actually saving the world like that! Super-man would have had some company atleast!
