Halle Berry who was voted the most fabulous 40 something celeb by a poll in the In Touch magazine seems to have won the title for the confidence she oozes.

Editors selected the actress because she has “evolved into this woman that feels very confident in who she is.”

That is surely true of Halle Berry.

Halle Berry has been voted as the world’s most fabulous 40-something celebrity in a poll conducted by an American magazine.

Berry, 40, defeated model/designer Daisy Fuentes and Salma Hayek among others to top the Fabulous At 40 list, contactmusic.com website reported.

The Gothica star was chosen by the editors of the In Touch Weekly magazine because they thought she has “evolved into this woman who feels very confident in who she is”.

The top 10 celebs are: 1. Halle Berry 2. Daisy Fuentes 3. Salma Hayek 4. Pamela Anderson 5. Martina McBride 6. Maria Bello 7. Tia Carrere 8. Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon 9. Melina Kanakaredes 10. Nicole Kidman.

Halle Berry got the biggest cheer of the night  at the third-annual tribute to African-American achievement in the entertainment business, hosted by Ebony magazine and publisher Linda Johnson Rice, CEO of Chicago-based Johnson Publishing.

The Oscar winner looked out over the crowd of several hundred mostly African-American stars, business people, civic leaders and educators, and thanked her mother, who is white, “for instilling in me and my sister a sense of who we are,” as women of color.

Berry, along with superstar Janet Jackson, Oscar nominee Forest Whitaker and Chicago native and music legend Herbie Hancock, were honored by Ebony, which Berry said had presented positive images of the African-American community to her at a very early age. It was those key impressions of black people finding success, doing good works and helping improve their communities that Berry and her fellow honorees made a point of constant focus that night.

As for her mother, Judith — who joined Berry for the event at the Jim Henson Studios in Hollywood Thursday night — the actress toasted her for making sure “that Ebony and Jet [magazines] were always on the coffee table in our house. As a white woman she wanted to give us something she could not — but Ebony and Jet could.”

Celebrities often, in their stardom, forget their roots and rise too high for the reach of any Normal man… they forget that they too have a moral responsibility towards those who love them so much and are actually responsible for making them the celebrities and millionaires they are… but Halle Berry is certainly not one of those types…

Jasmine, a cute lil teenager from Louisville who is suffering from kidney failure, is a die-hard fan of Halle and all she could wish for was to meet and greet the ex-bond girl… her mom can only watch her daughter go through the painful process of dialyses thrice a week for the rest of her life… but she decided to do something more… she tried hard to get her only dream fulfilled… and she SUCCEEDED : )

With the help of ‘Kids Wish Network’ she managed to get through to Halle, who was more than happy to see the ardent fan of hers and fulfill desire… and the next thing Jasmine knew was that she was flying down to Los Angeles (courtesy Kids Wish Network again) and the next day…. She met HALLE BERRY!!! It was an open yacht and a quiet afternoon when this greet n meet session took place and wasn’t Jasmine beaming from ear to ear after that day…

Now James Bond movies are nothing without the very talented and beautiful Bond woman . Ursula Andress (Honey Ryder..in the movie ) was placed 1st followed by Honor Blackman ( Pussy Galore) was placed second while our very own Halle Berry (Jinx Johnson) was placed third .

Halle came third…..ok anyway for us she was the best and will be …….don’t you all agree !!!!!!

I just spoke about how the industry has now woken up against discrimination based on colour when it comes to roles for actresses. The entire entertainment industry has many such actors who have fought against discrimination in order to achieve success . To honour such achievements The Annual Black Awards was started.

The second year of these awards will take place tonight .The event, which honors the best of African-Americans working in cinema past and present, will have plenty of star power with Oprah Winfrey on board as a presenter .It is rumoured to believe that Super actress Halle Berry might pick up an award for herself at this event.

And we all believe that she surely desreves this……………so All The Best Halle !!!
